What does "Ouka" mean?
The meaning behind “Ouka” in Ouka Landscape & Design reflects the identity of the owner. “Ou” stands for sakura (cherry blossom), representing Japan, while “ka” stands for kaede (maple), symbolizing Canada. The name embodies a deep respect for both countries, where the owner was raised and educated.
The owner has trained at well-known and respected landscaping companies in both Japan and Canada. This experience has taught him that neither side can be overlooked—each culture brings unique values and strengths. Despite the differences in customs and traditions, both countries offer something truly beautiful and it is through working in prestigious firms in both places that he has come to appreciate these differences firsthand.
With this cross-cultural perspective, we are committed to creating peaceful and comforting gardens for everyone here in Canada. Thank you very much for your support.

Sabi: Sabi expresses the effect that time has on any objects and the beauty of aging and transience.
Wabi sabi is a beautiful way to express and allow people to accept and embrace the natural beauty of flaws and rawness.
The philosophy also reflects in Japanese gardens, architecture and other works of art. Ouka Landscape & Design Ltd. incorporates the aspect of it as well.
